So I spent my weekend either getting beaten up, or watching others do the same. Why you ask?

Good question. I was taking part in the ITFNZ Nationals Tournament. ITFNZ, for those that don't know, is International Tae Kwon Do Federation of New Zealand. Anyway it was fun, and I even won a couple of medals, which I display here in all their glory.

It was especially cool that a some of my friends turned up, including a good TM contingent. Thanks guys, it was awesome having you there cheering me on!

But because of all this activity, I'm very sleepy. So I'm off to bed.

EDIT: for some reason it wouldn't let me upload. I'll try again later (if anyone is interested) when I'm not do tired.

So now that I've finally got my computer back I've changed the layout of this puppy. I hated the old one, but thought it was pushing it a little to chage it at work. I think it is much less camo, but still a little pastel.

In other news... well there isn't any really. I might check back in later.

Random internet tests. Gotta love them.

I am 33% Geek.
Geek? Yes, but at least I got social skills.
You probably work in computers, or a history deptartment at a college. You never really fit in with the "normal" crowd. But you have friends, and this is a good thing.

Well since my last post I've been up to the mountain, got sick (again) and still don't have my computer back.

So first up Camp or Die. Great fun, wet skiing and very few hijinks. In fact the weekend was all rather tame, except of course for a certain group of people in a spa bath. But other than that...

I was also given a card, flowers and a box of chocolates by everyone who came along which was very sweet. So it looks like Camp or Die '07 is already a sure thing!

However due to the snow/rain up the mountain by Sunday my cold/flu was back in full swing. Ick, is all that I can say.

So yeah, I'll try to get a couple photos up.

In other news, I now have a Darth Tater LJ icon. Cool huh?

Only 3 more days till I get to go to the snow for the first time in ages!! The weekend has been dubbed Camp or Die by one of the 15 other people coming to the mountain.

I think it sums it up rather well.

YAY!!!

I'm in a mild state of shock. It's September... How is that possible?

I'm sure it was only just May... Wasn't it?

I love fridays. The sense of expectation that two days with out work bring.

I also love getting over being sick. It is so nice to be able to take a deepish breath and not then try to cough up one of my lungs.

I also love being geeky. The fantastic secret conversations you can have... not to mention the inside jokes.

Ahh... the joys of being in a positive frame of mind.

And see [info]_t0ni_ almost no mention of my computer.

So I heard the final word on my power supply today. They got the power supply down from auckland and it is the wrong size. 2cm to big for the damn case. So now I have another 10 days while the correct one comes from Taiwan, plus another $100. So I'm thinking of complaining.

In other news I went to buy polyhedron dice (yes I am that geeky) only to find that there is a current world wide dice shortage!! No where in wellington is selling them, so I was forced online.

I love it, a dice shortage!

I also am now a bone fide tae kwon-do blue belt. I managed to get through the hell that was grading while sick and passed! YAY!! Now I get to learn a whole lot of new stuff and do it all again in december! Got to love it.

Peace out!

So I finally heard from the shop about my PC. As suspected it was the power supply, which needs to be ordered. So I have to wait till Monday for that to arrive. So I have another weekend with out the 'puter.

I'm starting to feel a little lost.

So to fill the void I am planning a ski weekend for work people. At the moment there are 15 of us going, and it will be mad. I'll update as more plans come to fruition.

Oh and does anyone know where to find some userpics? I'm getting sick of the 3 I have and as the 'puter is out of action I have no way of making my own.

I still haven't been given a call to tell me what is wrong with my 'puter, when they will fix it and how much it will cost. I'm getting ansty.

My flatmate says I'm like a kid who has lost their favorite toy. He'd be right of course, so I stole his laptop.

In other news I got a fist in the face at training last night. It hurt (not surprisingly) but luckily there is no major brusing and only a small amount of swelling. Just as well seeing as grading is on Saturday and I don't really want to be hurt before the 3-4 hour training session. Oh god I am going to hurt on Sunday.

Well seeing as it's cold, and I'm tired I think it's bed time.

Fingers crossed that my computer will be fixed tomorrow.

Even though my computer is still dead (and I still haven't heard about what is wrong) I did just buy pretty new headphones!

So much for being responsible with money huh?

Ah well, at least my iPod is now back to its full sounding goodness and I have new (hardier) Sennheiser headphones. Talking of which, I think it's time to have a listen (while doing my work...)

*Rant*

The stupid people at the power company cut my power on friday. Then I guess they turned it back on and it went all surgey, and now my computer doesn't work. I'm hoping that the it is just the power supply and not anything else. Otherwise I might cry... all of those hours of tv I've downloaded!

They also broke G's stuff. I think the lesson here is that when the power company says they'll cut the power again, I unplug everything before work.

The nice people at the shop I bought the computer from will help me. It just means getting to the other end of town in my lunch break. At least town is small so it shouldn't be too hard.

So I have only work computer access at the moment, and it will probably be for the rest of the week. Lame, lame, lame.

Ok I get it, she's hot, she can sing.... but her songs aren't all that. My Humps was amusing, until I realised that it wasn't ironic...

And now this, http://www.myspace.com/fergieferg. Just listen to the song...

Seeing as I know all the people I work with will read this, I'm going to get back to work...

But yay Friday!!

So here I am at work... Looking around the room and eavesdropping on a number of random work related conversations. It often worries me how much time I can spend at work, not working. Or at least it feels that way sometimes.

Hmmm.... I think it is just that the work I do have to do is not the work I feel like doing. It's the boring stuff...

But I should get on with it, 'cause then it is over.

But if I just did it I wouldn't be able to procrastinate (I love dictionary.com - To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness.), which is one of my favorite things in the world to do. That any watch hours and hours of Buffy...

Ok back to work.
